Submission Guidelines

Off the Record strives to support all types of creativity, so we are happy to promote and/or review practically anything. We do however reserve the right to refuse submissions which we deem inappropriate.

Music Submissions
If you would like to submit music to be reviewed, whether it be a single, EP, album or anything else like that then make sure when emailing us about your submission to provide your name or the band/group name where relevant, either a copy of what you would like reviewed or a link to where it can be streamed or otherwise obtained. Additionally in the email make sure to tell us where you are based, the members of the group and what they play (if relevant) as well as the genre of music. If you provide all of that information then your submission is far more likely to be accepted. If your submission comes with artwork then feel free to send that over as well. Please also provide any relevant social media so that it can be tagged when the review goes live.

Book Submissions
If you would like to submit a book for review then when emailing make sure to include a brief bio of the author, as well as a synopsis of the book itself. Additionally we ask that you include whether the book was self-published or not, the genre, date of publication and either a copy of the book itself or a link to where the book can either be viewed or otherwise obtained. If you are sending a copy of the book, we prefer PDF format. Please also provide any social media relevant either to the author and/or the submission so that it can be tagged when the review goes live.

Film/TV Submissions
We have received far less submissions of this variety than other types but we are happy to review TV and Film submissions, both from indie or amateur creators as well as more mainstream sources. If you would like us to review your submission then provide either a copy of the content for review, or a link to where it can be streamed or otherwise obtained. Additionally also provide information on the creator, a brief synopsis of the submission including genre and date of release and any artwork if relevant. Please also provide any social media relevant either to the creator and/or the submission so that it can be tagged when the review goes live.

Lastly we receive a lot of submissions daily and so you can expect to wait at least two weeks after submission before the review goes up on the site, but you will always receive a reply in regards to your submission within 72 hours.
