Single Review: Dylan Pinkerton – One That You Love

Dylan Pinkerton is a singer/songwriter and musician from Melbourne, in the south-east of Australia, who produces a blend of folk, pop and soul music. Although this time, with ‘One That You Love’ he tackles a more electro pop inspired tune. The track in question was released on November 4th 2022, and is all about passion and love, you can check out what I think about it below.

‘One That You Love’ has a really strong, synth driven intro, a nice upbeat, forward momentum that grows as the track opens up. Pinkerton’s voice is amazing, rich and engaging, with a charming falsetto which merges well with the core melody. The percussive, rhythmic beat of this song really ties things together, especially when counterpointed by the electronic tonal notes incorporated throughout. It has an almost dream-like quality, which I think actually lines up with the whole love on the dance floor type thing, cause when you meet something that makes you feel things, it can feel a bit like a dream. Overall though, I really liked the energy and vibe of this track, and Pinkerton is a talented musician, certainly one that I’ll be keeping my eyes out for more in the future.

So that’s what I thought of Dylan Pinkerton’s single ‘One That You Love’ and if you want to check that out for yourself then head on over to Spotify. While you’re at it, make sure and show your support for the artist, and keep up to date with their latest goings on, by checking out their website and by following them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
