Mona B is a musician and hip-hop artist from Texas, and this isn’t my first time reviewing their music, you can click here to check that out. Today, however, I will be reviewing a newer single ‘Don’t Wanna Know’ which the artist dropped directly to Soundcloud around three months ago.
‘Don’t Wanna Know’ opens with electronically driven piano chords, blended together with Mona’s vocals, there’s a synth overlay but it adds some texture to the track, the percussive beat likewise works well with the track. It’s a simple enough rhythmic beat, but it all comes together, supporting the vocal performance, and as the track continues to flow, you pick up the subtle complexities in the lyrics, the overall composition is really impressive, and I like how it sort of ends on a low note, leaving you wanting more. It all makes for a really cool track, and I’m eager to hear more from the artist in the future.
