Similar to my pieces on Zilch and LOQBOX, I feel the need to say that this is not an advertisement, and that I am in no way affiliated with or compensated by Tide for writing this. I am just a customer who found that it was a good service, particularly for a small business.
So yeah, I signed up with Tide because of their attractive business account, when I signed up I actually took advantage of two really cool incentives, the first was that by using a specific referral code you’d be given £75 completely free, and I’ll discuss that more later. The second was that you could open your account and register your own limited company all at once, and it’s also completely free, they even take care of the £12 incorporation fee with Companies House for you.
You don’t need to register your business though, if you’re just not at that stage yet, so don’t worry about that.
I’ve found that Tide is quick and easy to set up with, and having opened accounts for Freelancer Tom and Off the Record I know that not only is it virtually hassle free, but they have quick and efficient virtual customer service, and unlike most places which promise a sign up bonus, and then either make it impossible or never deliver I have received my bonus both times, totaling £150 of free money, as well as a fantastic account which is great regardless of where you are as a business, whether you are a freelancer, a small business or if you’re a growing business.
If for whatever reason you need to close your account it’s also fairly hassle free, just pop onto the customer service chat and say as much, and they’ll take you through the steps, just make sure and download any receipts or statements just for your own information and that’ll be you sorted.
So just before we finish up, let’s talk about getting the £75 if that’s something that interests you.
You can click this link, and it’ll take you to a page on Tide where you can read the T&Cs regarding the offer. Then follow the on screen instructions to register an account, and download the Tide app from either the iOS or Android app store. Then all you need to do to be eligible other than make sure to use the code FREE75 on sign up is deposit at least £1 into your tide account (you have up to 3 months to complete this but I suggest for expediency that you do it immediately) and then within 8 weeks you should receive the money into your account to do with as you please.
Make sure to follow them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for the latest updates.
