Emma Hunter is a 19-year-old crafter from Ayrshire, they identify as pansexual and autistic, and are a member of Unity League, a Kilmarnock based LGBT+ community group. They were previously attending college to study Social Sciences, however have since moved on to a night course focusing on the hospitality industry, specifically baking and cake decorating.
Emma started their business Crybbycrafts back in 2020 during the first lockdown, when they purchased a cross stitching kit from Amazon. Since then they’ve been continuing to develop their skills and since January 2021 have to create their own patterns.

Crybbycrafts has expanded to include a variety of cross stitched accessories such as necklaces, earrings, keychains, magnets and pins. Currently Emma charges £10 for earrings, plus postage and packing and other items such as Keychains, Necklaces, Pins and Magnets are £5 plus postage and packing. They also offer add-ons such as plastic earring hooks, clip-ons and things such as kidney hooks for stretched ears completely free of charge.
Emma has been determinedly working on their craft over the past few years, and has a high standard of quality, in addition to a reasonably quick turnaround for orders. Don’t just take my word however, you can find Crybbycrafts on Facebook and Instagram.
