Katherine Li is a singer/songwriter who I came across via Instagram, I actually heard a snippet of the song and really liked it but then my app refreshed so I had to backtrack and re-find it, and I’m glad I did because now I get a chance to listen to the whole thing and share it with you. So, yeah today I will be reviewing her single ‘Never Had a Chance’ which was released on April 3rd 2022.
‘Never Had a Chance’ blows you away from the first moment, Li’s voice is transcendent and it just scoops you up and takes you on a journey of about 2 minutes and 25 seconds. She has a depth and range to her voice that is just breathtaking. Like I said I came across this track just by chance on Instagram and as soon as I heard the first bit I knew not only did I need to hear the full song, but I needed to review it, because that’s why I do this, for the chance to hear phenomenal vocalists like Li. I haven’t touched much on the instrumental backing, but it creates a smooth ambient melody to perfectly support the overall performance. I can guarantee that I will be keeping an eye out for Li after hearing this track.
