Single Review: Michèle Ducray – Manifesto

Michèle Ducray is a New Zealand based dark pop artist, and today I will be reviewing her pop infused horror story, ‘Manifesto’ which was released on April 8th 2022.

‘Manifesto’ has a deep, heavy, synth driven opening, you feel the weight on the notes, and the building tones underneath that just really create a real vibe throughout. Ducray’s vocals flow over the top, adding to the overall effect, and she does an incredible job, her voice is powerful and melodic and almost hauntingly beautiful. Due to personal issues I’ve been writing less recently, so I’ve actually been missing a lot of tracks I’ve been set by artists, labels etc, but I’m super glad that I’m getting back to things and didn’t miss this one because it’s such an amazing musical experience that just kind of wraps you up in the narrative and doesn’t let you go.

So that’s what I thought of Michèle Ducray’s single ‘Manifesto’ and if you want to check that out for yourself then head on over to Spotify. While you’re at it, make sure and support the artist by following them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
