Maddie in Good Company is a three piece outfit from Nashville, Tennessee made up of Maddie, Chris and Griffin. Today, I will be reviewing their single ‘Overflow’ which was released on April 8th 2022.
‘Overflow’ kicks off with a nice swinging melody, a strong energy filled combination of guitars, bass and drums, and Maddie is sensational, her voice is deep and soulful and just captures you from the first moment. This song has a great beat to it, catchy without being repetitive, instead you just get caught up in the performance. I’m super glad I came across their track on Instagram because otherwise I might have missed it, and trust me that’s a mistake because this track is a home run. Also anyone who regularly reads these posts will know I love any track that includes saxophones or really any instrumental that is in some way esoteric or a bit genre bending, it really makes it fresh, and the horns pushed an amazing track into the stratosphere. But seriously though, I loved this track, Maddie is such an amazing vocalist, and the entire group is incredibly talented and polished creating something truly great.
