J. Maya is a singer/songwriter, musician, actress and former pun champion, based in Los Angeles. I came across them on Instagram and just fell in love with their voice, so today I will be reviewing their single ‘Library Card’ which was released on March 11th 2022.
‘Library Card’ opens with a building, thematic, piano driven melody that just fills you up, before bleeding into a faster, synth infused beat and of course J. Maya’s phenomenal vocals. I was just blown away by this song, the energy, the composition, the heavy percussive track, overlaying the harder, heavier vocal sections were all just perfection. I can already feel the multiple replays of this song, because it’s just such a strong track, I’m honestly just so glad I came across one of J. Maya’s videos on Instagram otherwise I might not have heard their music at all. If you like powerful anthems, fully charged and genuinely exciting then you’ll like this, either way I cannot recommend it highly enough.
So that’s what I thought of J. Maya’s single ‘Library Card’ and if you want to check that out for yourself then head on over to Spotify. While you’re at it, make sure to support the artist by subscribing to their YouTube channel, and following them on Tik Tok and Instagram.
