Misharron Jermeisha Allen more commonly known as Asian Doll or Asian Da Brat is an American rapper from Dallas, Texas who was the female artist signed to Gucci Mane‘s record Label The New 1017 Records (formerly 1017 Eskimo Records). She was featured on a remix of Hi Bich, by Bhad Bhabie (another artist we’ve reviewed) in February 2018 alongside Rich the Kid and MadeinTYO. Today, however, we will be discussing her single ‘Twice’ which was released on April 15th 2021.
‘Twice’ opens with synth driven vocals, a heavy but atmospheric melody, and a hard percussive beat that all blend together. Asian Doll’s voice is strong, she delivers the lines with power, but it’s also nice to listen to, she doesn’t need to mask it beneath any artificial covering, although she does at point utilise such technique to add more depth to the overall number. It’s a catchy enough song, that’s surprisingly well balanced, not too fast and not too slow, just a solid track, with a nice hook that works really well.
So that’s what I thought of Asian Doll’s single ‘Twice’ and if you want to check that out for yourself then head on over to Spotify. While you’re at it, make sure and support the artist by following them on Twitter and Instagram.
