Single Review: Luxe – Circles

Lukas Beynon, known professionally as Luxe is a Welsh singer/songwriter who is currently based in London. His music takes inspiration from dance music artists such Ali Love (from the British/American Electronic/House music group Hot Natured) and South London based singer/songwriter RAYE. Today, I will be reviewing this latest single ‘Circles’ which was released on December 3rd 2021.

‘Circles’ has a nice, bouncy tune with a catchy, percussive beat and a strong, consistent energy. I think this is the first dance track I’ve gotten in a while and despite having no natural rhythm I would say this would get me up and moving. I don’t usually get this type of music either, and when I hear strong examples like this it makes me want to keep my eyes and ears open for more like it. Anyway, I really liked the hook of this track, it had a strong choral loop, that really stays on message and successfully gets stuck in your head. Overall, this is a really good track, which is enhanced by vocals from Luxe’s whose voice has an almost dreamlike quality to it, especially when blended beneath an electronic melody.

So that’s what I thought of Luxe’s single ‘Circles’ and if you want to check that out for yourself then head on over to Spotify. While you’re at it, make sure and support the artist by following them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
