Vanessa Morgan is a Canadian actress and singer, probably most well known for her roles as Amanda Pierce on The Latest Buzz, Sarah in the Disney channel series My Babysitter’s a Vampire (and the Teletoon movie of the same name) and most recently Toni Topaz on the CW series, Riverdale. Today, I will be reviewing her single ‘Be My Joker’ which was released on January 26th 2018.
‘Be My Joker’ opens with striking piano chords that meld with Vanessa’s deep, soft and sultry vocals which just take you somewhere. This song is gentle, and yet you just feel a wash of emotion as Morgan sings. The piano, simple and understated, is the perfect accompaniment to her voice, it lifts it even higher and creates something that I was truly grateful to hear.
