Chord Overstreet is an American actor and musician, who is probably best known for playing Sam Evans on the Fox television series, Glee. This isn’t the first time I’ve reviewed the artist, and you can check that out here. Today, however, I will be reviewing his single ‘Hold On’ which was released on 3rd February 2017.
‘Hold On’ opens with ambient piano chords that are sustained and built upon just as the previous one fades, blending with a gentle guitar melody that all work together to perfectly support Overstreet’s vocals which are phenomenal. Between listening to his previous track and his tenure on Glee, I was already strongly aware of his voice, but this track just knocks it out of the park. It’s not just that it’s catchy, it’s deep and just profoundly emotional. It gives Chord a chance to explore the depth of his voice and songwriting capability, and I strongly urge you to check it out now.
So that’s what I thought of Chord Overstreet’s single ‘Hold On’ and if you want to check that out then head on over to Spotify. While you’re at it, make sure and support the artist by following them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
