Boon is an 18-year-old dark pop musician from Nashville, Tennessee and today I will be reviewing their single ‘Can’t Be Love’ which was released on 13th July 2021.
‘Can’t Be Love’ opens with a guitar line, which blends with Boon’s vocals, and the harder, rougher electronic percussive beats. Boon has a good voice, it’s melodic and nice to listen to, this track acknowledges that but doesn’t rely upon it, because it’s just as much an experiment in the instrumental backing as it is about his performance. It really works though, the heavier elements work well and create a song that makes you take notice, and one that you won’t forget too quickly.
So that’s what I thought of Boon’s single ‘Can’t Be Love’ and if you want to check that out for yourself then head on over to Spotify. While you’re at it, make sure and support the artist by following them on Twitter and Instagram.
