Single Review: YVR – Out of It

YVR are a pop/indie duo from Los Angeles and today I will be reviewing their single ‘Out of It’ which was released on July 15th 2021.

‘Out of It’ opens with trilling tones, fading and building as they are filled with a deep, percussive beat that tonally reminds me of a heartbeat more than a drum fill but either way, the percussive flow merges with the female driven vocals. Speaking of which, her voice is beautiful, it works well with this electronic, synth pop vibe and you just kinda get lost in it. I liked the balance to this track, the heavier, harder sections where she really belts it out, counterpointed with the more even tempo sections. Overall, this track just really flows well together, the more high energy percussive heavy electronic backing, never overpowers the vocalist, instead their is a nice give and take, between them both.

So that’s what I thought of YVR’s single ‘Out of It’ and if you want to check that out for yourself then head on over to Spotify. While you’re at it, make sure and support the band by following them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
