Single Review: Calling All Captains – Undone

Calling All Captains are a five piece pop-punk/post-harcore outfit from Edmonton, Alberta which is made up of Luc Gauthier on Vocals, Brad Bremner on Guitar/Vocals, Connor Dawkins on Guitar/Vocals, Nick Malychuk on Bass and Tim Wilson on Drums. Today, I will be reviewing their single ‘Undone’ which was released on 15th July 2021.

‘Undone’ opens with a fast percussive driven intro and charging, hard vocals, which build in volume and intensity. I like high energy tracks and this frenzied number is just a phenomenal master class in intense, powerful music. I like that they produce a perfect fusion of elements, nothing sticks out too much overall, instead everything blends together in one complex harmony that is just amazing. I love the range of the vocals as well, it’s not all hard and pushing, there are more melodic moments as well and some harmonies between the vocalists and culminating in one final hard note which fades out nicely. If you listen to this track, I assure you, you’ll be a fast fan.

So that’s what I thought of Calling All Captains single ‘Undone’ and if you want to check that out for yourself then head on over to Spotify. While you’re at it, make sure and support the band by following them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
