Single Review: Ad•era – Song We Made

Ad•era - Song We Made Artwork

Ad•era are alternative/indie trio from Canada which has some Chilean roots at its core, it is made up of Tiffany Calderbank, Tomás Valenzuela and Ian Cardona. Today I will be reviewing their single ‘Song We Made’ which was released on July 30th 2021.

‘Song We Made’ opens with electronic percussive beats that flow into some soft, melodic vocals, while an ambient, energy filled beat builds beneath them. I really like the counterpoint between the male and female voices, both bringing something to the sharp fusion of sounds. I had not previously heard of the group but that’s my mistake because this is an awesome track that managed to be chill, with a really nice vibe and yet have a catchy, rhythmic beat that is just perfect. This might be a bit too esoteric for the review but this track is like the equivalent of a warm beat of sun on your face, when you’ve got on your shades and are just lying on the grass. It is such a mood that I am instantly in love with the track.

So that’s what I thought of Ad•era’s single ‘Song We Made’ and if you want to check that out for yourself then head on over to Spotify. While you’re at it make sure and support the group by following them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
