Addison Grace is a fantastically talented singer/songwriter, who I initially came across because our equally fantastic contributor and in-house graphic artist Tori B Bearly is addicted to Tik Tok and is a huge fan of them. Speaking of which, Off the Record has recently made a Tik Tok of our very own, and you can follow us by clicking here. This isn’t my first time reviewing Addison Grace, and you can click here to check out more. If you’d like to learn more about Addison Grace then you can check out this interview we did with them here. Today, however, I will be reviewing her single ‘Sugar Rush’ which was released on August 25th 2020.
‘Sugar Rush’ opens with some vibrant strings, sweet and melodic, but not quite a sugar rush yet, joking aside it’s a smooth, ambient intro that’s light and effervescent but not forgettable. Addison’s voice has a depth and originality to it that means they could sing anything and it’d sound good. I loved the balance between the slower, more melancholic parts and the more high energy parts, they created a nice counterpoint in what has turned out to be a wonderfully engaging track.
So that’s what I thought of Addison Grace’s single ‘Sugar Rush’ and if you want to check that out for yourself then head on over to Spotify. If you want to support the artist then you can follow them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, visit their website and of course visit their Tik Tok.
