Liza (which is pronounced LEE-za) is a Toronto based R&B singer/songwriter and today I will be reviewing their single ‘Heavy’ which was released on February 24th 2020.
‘Heavy’ opens with a rolling, atmospheric melody that stops and starts before flowing into and becoming one consistent theme alongside Liza’s fantastic, dreamy vocals. I really like the soft pace of this track, the percussion adds a little weight to the track but overall it’s despite the title, and the strong emotional undercurrent, it’s quite light and breezy and just sorta carries you along with it.
