OrangeG is a one man indie folk/americana musical outfit from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and today I will be reviewing their single ‘Look Both Ways’ which was released on November 20th 2020.
‘Look Both Ways’ fades in, growing in volume and complexity, guitars wailing powerfully, almost to the point of distortion, adding a very real, raw feel to the track. The drums are slower, more consistent, adding an almost counterpoint to the faster, heavier guitar notes. The vocals are pronounced, possessing an almost melancholic quality, which flows throughout the track. Speaking of which, the melody builds throughout, something packed, and pounding, and at other times, slower and more paced. I like the balance to the track, it accomplishes a lot, and it’s certainly not something I’ll forget in a hurry. So I strongly suggest you all check out this track, because it’s a powerful piece of music.
So that’s what I thought of OrangeG’s single ‘Look Both Ways’ and if you want to check that out for yourself then head on over to Spotify. Make sure and support the artist by following them on Twitter and Instagram, or by visiting their website.
