Single Review: Cuban Doll – Talk My Shit

Cuban Doll - Talk My Shit Artwork

Cuban Doll, who also goes by the name Cuban Da Savage, is a Hip-Hop/Rap artist from Dallas, Texas, who first gained traction on Instagram, as a model and social media influencer, before transitioning into a music career with huge hits like Bankrupt, Don’t Like Me and Drug Dealer. Today, however, I will be reviewing their single ‘Talk My Shit’ which was released on November 6th 2020.

‘Talk My Shit’ has a deep, heavy, melodic intro that blends with synthy percussive notes before Cuban Doll’s vocals kick in, she has a very distinctive vocal quality, very sharp and direct, and she delivers the lines quickly and with a good punch to them. I really like the layering between the melodic piano instrumentals, the drum tones and the vocals, they exist as three separate elements, and yet work incredibly well together, making a rich, complex track. This track is also really catchy, and it’s likely to be something you’ll remember.

So that’s what I thought of Cuban Doll’s single ‘Talk My Shit’ and if you want to check that out for yourself then head on over to Spotify. While you’re at it, make sure and support the artist by following them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram or by visiting their website
