Malo is a Danish singer/songwriter, based in Copenhagen whose music was recently featured in the Netflix movie, ‘365 Days’. Today, however, I will be reviewing their single ‘Bad Johnny’ which was released on December 11th 2020.
‘Bad Johnny’ opens with a bouncy percussive beat, that blends really well with Malo’s melodic, synthy vocals. This has a really nice rhythm to it, that sticks in your mind, and has you thinking about it for days afterwards. I particularly liked the hook in the chorus which really worked for me, and added to the whole catchy feel of the track.
