Kate Boothman is a singer/songwriter from Toronto, in Canada who considers their music to be a mix of Indie, Rock, Folk and Psych. Today, I will be reviewing their single ‘17’ which was released on the 17th November 2020.
‘17’ opens with some light percussion before breaking into some ambient melody that just kind of fills your head, excellently supporting Boothman’s powerful and sharp vocals, the slowness of the track balanced by the depth and sincerity of her voice. I liked the drum work interspersed throughout, adding emphasis without overpowering. This whole track just kind of struck me, I just got lost in the soft, subtle beat and Boothman’s vocals.
So that’s what I thought of Kate Boothman’s single ‘17’ and if you want to check that out for yourself then head on over to Spotify. Make sure and support the artist by following them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram or by visiting their website.
