The Word66 are a Christian rock band from Las Vegas, Nevada and today I will be reviewing their debut single ‘On the Way to the Promise Land’ which was released on the 4th September 2020.

‘On the Way to the Promise Land’ opens with some tight guitar fuelled rhythm that builds, leading us forward into some hard and heavy vocals. This track has a really nice beat, with percussion and bass interwoven around the guitar to perfectly compliment the whole feel of the track. I thoroughly enjoyed it, it has a nice edge to it, but mixed in, are familiar hallmarks most people will recognise from the bible. It’s really all about raw passion and love for the grace of God, it doesn’t come across as forced, or overly clean, or what have you, instead it just feels like a group of people using their musical talent to spread the good word.

So that’s what I thought of The Word66’s single ‘On the Way to the Promise Land’ and if you want to check that out for yourself then head on over to Spotify. Make sure and support the band by following them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, or by visiting their website.
