Noah Malcolm is a indie folk/pop artist from Prince Edward Island, in Canada but is currently based in Toronto. Today, I will be reviewing ‘If Not, which was released on the 23rd October, and is the second single off their debut EP ‘On Time’.
‘If Not’ opens with soft, acoustic guitars that blend perfectly with their gentle melodic voice, the beat of the song picks up, gaining energy but still keeping a nice, almost muted, chilled out vibe. I like the gradual rise of the track though, the speed and infusion of energy as the track progresses just makes things better, and then of course we have a nice reversal as the song slows down again, for a nice counterpoint. This was my first experience with the artist and after this track I’m looking forward to hearing a lot more from them.
So that’s what I thought of Noah Malcolm’s single ‘If Not’ and if you want to check that out for yourself then head on over to Spotify. Make sure and follow the artist on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
