Single Review: The McKenzie FIX – The Shining

The McKenzie FIX - The Shining Artwork

Ewan McKenzie, is an Edinburgh born musician, who is currently based in London, and is releasing music under as ‘The McKenzie Fix’, under that title he released ‘Alone’ back in July, which we’ve just reviewed and you can check that out here, the upcoming ‘Martin & The Artist’ which is scheduled to be released on November 20th 2020. However today, I will be reviewing his single ‘The Shining’ which was released on September 11th 2020.

‘The Shining’ opens with light percussion before breaking into more of McKenzie’s powerful vocals, his voice suits the higher tones, and this song has a quirky vibe to it, which again meshes well with his singing. I liked this one a lot, it’s catchy, easy to listen to and even though it has a melancholic feel to it, I finished the song feeling better.

So that’s what I thought of The McKenzie FIX and their single ‘The Shining’ and if you want to check that out for yourself then head on over to Spotify. Make sure and support the artist by following them on Facebook and visiting their website.
