Lily Marie Antonini is a singer/songwriter and musician who I came across on Instagram and today I’ll be reviewing ‘Follow the Sunshine’ one of the singles off her May 2020 album ‘Talent’.
‘Follow the Sunshine’ starts off slowly with the gentle a cappella harmonies between Lily and the other vocalist. The melody is relatively simple but it sticks in your head and honestly it just really hit me hard, something about it just resonated really strongly with me. Also it’s clear from just this track that Lily is a tremendous vocalist, her voice is strong and she handles slower more emotional parts with genuine depth and grace. I like the lighter a cappella backing because it allows her voice to shine through clearly, and in multiple ways. If this is the quality of the artist then I will keep an eye out for them in the future.
