Erotic Secrets of Pompeii (or ESOP) are a Bristol based Apocalyptic post-punk group and this isn’t the first time I’ve reviewed their music, you can check out my review of their track ‘They Wouldn’t Let Me Write My Book’ here. Today, however, I will be reviewing their single ‘Rorschach Rorschach’ which was released on August 28th 2020.
‘Rorschach Rorschach’ kicks up with high energy percussion and a warbling guitar distortion layered behind it. The vocals work in beat with the hammering drums and drive forward with a lot of energy. Much like their previous track, I’m just caught up, this song is unforgiving in sheer volume and it’s just awesome. I would really like to see the group perform live because about the only thing that could improve this would be that almost indescribable quality that comes from being right there and seeing/hearing it happen.
So that’s what I thought of Erotic Secrets of Pompeii’s single ‘Rorschach Rorschach’ and if you want to check that out for yourself then head on over to Spotify. Make sure and support the band by following them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
