Single Review: Vulpine – Days Like These

Vulpine - Days Like These Artwork

Vulpine are an alternative rock group from Aberdeen made up of Pete Fox on Guitar/Vocals, Oliver Hamlet on Guitar/Backing Vocals, Duncan Caird on Bass and Stuart Campbell on Drums. Today I’ll be reviewing their single ‘Days Like These’ which was released on 30th March 2020.

‘Days Like These’ opens with a light, melancholic melody that flows into the vocals perfectly, both just washing over you wonderfully. I like how it picks up slowly but surely, the subtle percussion acting as a great little undertone to the building of the track. I also like the backing vocal harmonies, they are faint but work really well, especially as the vocals become harder and louder, and the percussion becomes more defined. It all works really well together and the result is something truly superb.

So that’s what I thought of Vulpine and their single ‘Days Like These’ and if you want to check that out then head on over to Spotify. Make sure and support the band by following them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
