Single Review: Lisa Kowalski – No More Time

Lisa Kowalski - No More Time Artwork

Lisa Kowalski is a Scottish singer-songwriter from Paisley, this isn’t the first time I’ve reviewed them and you can check that out by clicking here. If you are interested in finding out more about Lisa you can also check out this interview I did with them a while back as well by clicking here. Today I will be reviewing their track ‘No More Time’ which was released on January 31st 2020. The track is about a particularly difficult time in the artist’s life which resulted in taking a well deserved mental health break, and as some recently returning from their own break it really resonated with me.

‘No More Time’ hammers forward, a heavier melody up front that gives way to Lisa’s beautiful vocals, and you just get swept away in the intensity of the music. It was not at all what I was expecting but it really works, and perhaps because it subverted by expectations I took more notice, I didn’t just let the track wash over me as I am sometimes prone to do, instead I really experienced the full track and I was truly wowed by Lisa’s songwriting ability just as much as her strong and melodic vocals.

So that’s what I thought of Lisa Kowalski’s single ‘No More Time’ and if you want to check that out for yourself then head on over to Bandcamp. Make sure and support the artist by following them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
