Single Review: Josh Mover & The Shakers – Seagull in the Snow

Josh Mover and The Shakers - Seagull in the Snow

Josh Mover & The Shakers are a Toronto based music group, fronted by the eponymous Josh Mover. Today I will be reviewing their single ‘Seagull in the Snow’.

‘Seagull in the Snow’ opens with a building feedback distortion that makes me think of some of the funnest gigs of my youth, and also Tony Hawk games for some reason, instant nostalgia either way. Following that it kicks off into a high energy, frenetic dance, the percussion, bass and guitar all coming through and balancing each other perfectly. I liked that the vocals also matched the intensity, but the vocalist doesn’t seem to be straining, it all just flows perfectly into a track that is pure awesome. I especially liked the guitar breakdown that begins around 2 minutes and 30 seconds into the track, pure ear candy.

So that’s what I thought of Josh Mover & The Shakers single ‘Seagull in the Snow’ and if you want to check that out then head on over to Spotify. Make sure and support the band by following them on Facebook and Twitter
