Jillian Francis is an indie/folk singer-songwriter who draws inspiration from the likes of Stevie Nicks, Bon Iver and Florence Welch. Today I will be reviewing their debut single ‘Won’t Be You’.
‘Won’t Be You’ opens with a soft, acoustic guitar that resonates perfectly with Jillian’s harmonious and melodic voice. This one immediately gripped me, the gentle, and yet powerful nature of the track, just captures you and as you let it wash over you, you feel the vulnerability of the artist. I really loved listening to the artist go up in range throughout the track, her voice is strong and distinctive and blended with the lighter guitars and the percussion, it all builds to a sensational track, full of depth.
So that’s what I thought of Jillian Francis’s single ‘Won’t Be You’ and if you want to check that out for yourself then head on over to Spotify. Make sure and also support the artist by following them on Facebook and Instagram.
