The Samoors are a three piece new wave/indie band from Tel Aviv made up of Yuval Simcha on Guitars/Vocals, Andie Simcha on Synth/Melodica/Vibraslap/Backing Vocals and Erez Oppenheim on Drums/Backing Vocals. Today I’ll be reviewing their single ‘P.I.A.F (Patience Is a Friend)’ which was released on February 8th 2020.
‘P.I.A.F (Patience Is a Friend)’ kicks off with light percussion backed up by a flowing melody, the vocals enter, they have a unique distortion effect that adds to them, I also like the consistent harmony of the vocals between the three members of the group. I liked that they managed to use percussion quite heavily throughout without it, being too heavy and imposing in and of itself. Instead it’s a counterpoint to the lighter, softer notes and the result is something pure and truly memorable.
So that’s what I thought of The Samoors single ‘P.I.A.F (Patience Is a Friend)’ and if you want to check that out for yourself then head on over to Spotify. Make sure and support the band by following them on Facebook and Instagram.
