Laufey is an Icelandic/Chinese singer-songwriter and cellist and today I will be reviewing their debut single ‘Street by Street’ which was released on 6th April 2020.
‘Street by Street’ opens slowly, the acoustic guitar is gentle and yet resonant, expertly supporting Laufey’s strong and distinct voice. I liked the percussive clicking, they brought a lot to the track while still allowing it to remain relatively light. Laufey has a voice for stages, for concert halls, one that just overwhelms you and I cannot wait to hear more from her.
