Single Review: The Churchhill Garden – Halo (The Cure Cover)

The Churchhill Garden - Halo (The Cure Cover)

The Churchhill Garden is a musical project by Andy Jossi, who is also the man behind The Blue Herons. I’ve reviewed both the Churchhill Garden and The Blue Herons before and you can check out both by clicking here, here, here, here and here. Today, however, I will be reviewing their track ‘Halo (The Cure Cover)’ which you can check out below.

‘Halo (The Cure Cover)’ has a nice electronic intro, that’s busy upfront, just kind of building on itself, and not being intimately familiar with The Cure’s music I wasn’t internally comparing this track with the original which allowed the incredible vocal talents to really shine. I loved the swells in this, where the music just rose a little bit, but I also liked the frenzied synth beat throughout, it really worked to produce a superb track that I’m sure would make The Cure proud.

So that’s what I thought of The Churchhill Garden’s single ‘ Halo (The Cure Cover)’ and if you want to check that out for yourself then head on over to Bandcamp. Make sure and support the project by following them on Facebook and Twitter or by visiting their website.
