Single Review: The Churchhill Garden – Noise (ft. Krissy Vanderwoude)

The Churchhill Garden - Noise (ft. Krissy Vanderwoude)

The Churchhill Garden is a musical project by Andy Jossi, who is also the man behind The Blue Herons. I’ve reviewed both The Churchhill Garden and The Blue Herons before and you can check out both by clicking here, here, here, here and here. Today, however, I will be reviewing their track ‘Noise (ft. Krissy Vanderwoude)’ which you can check out below.

‘Noise (ft. Krissy Vanderwoude)’ opens on a building feedback noise, with light percussion, and as the feedback builds to a point, the drums become more fleshed out and prominent. I like the counterpoint of Krissy’s beautiful voice and vocals against the slightly discordant, almost harsh background noise, it really works well and makes for a uniquely appealing track, perhaps my favourite of all the tracks I have reviewed so far by this artist/project.

So that’s what I thought of The Churchhill Garden’s single ‘Noise (ft. Krissy Vanderwoude)’ and if you want to check that out for yourself then head on over to Bandcamp. Make sure and support the project by following them on Facebook and Twitter or by visiting their website.
