Single Review: Scenic Route to Alaska – Daydreaming

Scenic Route to Alaska - Daydreaming Artwork

Scenic Route to Alaska is a three piece, Edmonton based, Prairie-Indie Rock group made up of Trevor Mann on Guitar/Vocals, Murray Wood on Bass and Shea Connor on Drums. Today I will be reviewing their single ‘Daydreaming’ which was released on the 5th February 2020.

‘Daydreaming’ kicks off strong with melodic vocals and light but consistent percussion, both of which give way to more lyric focused vocals, occasionally supported again by the more harmonious melodic version from the intro. I liked this track, it has a nice hook, it’s catchy, and it’s well balanced in terms of speed and energy, it’s not too overstated, it’s just a strong track that’ll definitely mean I’ll be keeping my eye out for the group in the future.

So that’s what I thought of Scenic Route to Alaska’s single ‘Daydreaming’ and if you want to check that out for yourself then head on over to Spotify. Make sure to support the band by following them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
