Maddie Ross is a 24 year old singer-songwriter based in Los Angeles, California whose sound has been described as sugary and bubblegum sweet, but whatever way you describe her pop music you won’t want to miss this track or her debut album ‘Never Have I Ever’.
‘Tell Your Friends’ opens with a building electronic percussion that bursts into a frenzied fusion of notes, that then gives way to Maddie’s phenomenal vocals. This has all the makings of one of those songs that will be running through my mind for weeks, it’s just so distinct, and catchy, and I love not only Maddie’s voice, but her singing style, she has a very unique singing style that works really well. I mean this as a compliment, but I could easily see this being in the soundtrack from an early to mid 2000s teen comedy, it just has a very prominent energy that reminds me of those movies.
So that’s what I thought of Maddie Ross’s single Tell Your Friends’ and if you want to check that out then head on over to Spotify.
