Single Review: Painting Rockets – Boys

Painting Rockets - Boys Artwork

Painting Rockets are an Alternative rock duo from Edinburgh made up of Keli Thomson on Vocals and Stephen Christie on Guitar. I’ve previously reviewed Painting Rockets and you can check that out here, but today I’ll be reviewing their latest release ‘Boys’ which will be released on 19th April 2019.

‘Boys’ kicks off quite quickly, with a high energy, beat, that explodes, going wild, lots of percussion and screaming guitars, and yet you can still easily get lost in the rich and emotive vocals that hammer just as hard as the instrumentals behind it. This is a really powerful song, and I would really like to hear it performed live, because it while the recording is great, I have a feeling it’s one of those rare tracks (for me at least) that is just so much more explosive when you hear it in person.

So that’s what I thought of Painting Rockets single ‘Boys’ and if you want to check that out for yourself then check out Spotify. Make sure to support the band by following them on Facebook and Twitter.
