Railroads are a four piece garage rock band based in Bradford/Leeds made up of Sam Da Silva on Vocals/guitar, James Rowland on Guitar, Adam Dunne on Bass and Jack Reavey on Drums. Today I’ll be reviewing their single ‘Never Tried A Cigarette’.
‘Never Tried A Cigarette’ kicks off with a pretty complex intro, everything instantly harmonised with no build up, and the track has a quirky pace to it, the vocals seem steady, but the instrumental sections low key seem to be building, and this pays off around the 38 second mark, with a warbling section, that then explodes into the main section of the track. It all really works well together, it’s a fun and memorable track, that has a great energy to it, and I would very much like to hear it performed live.
So that’s what I thought of Railroads single ‘Never Tried A Cigarette’ and if you want to check it out then head on over to Spotify. While you’re at it make sure and support the group by following them on Facebook and Twitter.
