Single Review: Paddy Clarke & The Fancy Rats – Stop Crying You Could Be On Fire

Paddy Clarke and The Fancy Rats - Stop Crying You Could Be On Fire (what a bummer Jeff Goldblum is going to die) Artwork

Paddy Clarke & The Fancy Rats are a Folk-Punk/Bummer Indie-Rock group from Liverpool and today I’ll be reviewing their track ‘Stop Crying You Could Be On Fire (What A Bummer Jeff Goldblum is Going to Die)’ which is about toxic masculinity, and how much they love Jeff Goldblum.

‘Stop Crying You Could Be On Fire (what a bummer Jeff Goldblum is going to die)’ has a surprisingly mellow and subdued acoustic guitar intro, the vocals are soft, lilting, melancholic and honestly brilliant. Despite the title which could easily lead you to think this track is going to be farcical, it’s honestly a really honest, raw and powerful track. The video on YouTube has about 370ish views, I’ve convinced that at least twenty of those alone are me. Speaking of which, make sure and subscribe to their YouTube channel.

So that’s I thought about Paddy Clarke & The Fancy Rats new track ‘Stop Crying You Could Be On Fire (what a bummer Jeff Goldblum is going to die)’ which you can check out on Bandcamp. And make sure and support the group by following them on Facebook and Twitter.
