So I introduced The SoapGirls in my previous review which you can check out here, but very briefly, The SoapGirls are a rock duo, originally from Paris, but they grew up in Cape Town, South Africa. They are made up of Bassist and Vocalist Camille Debray and Guitarist and Vocalist Noemie Debray. If you would like to find out more about The SoapGirls you can check out this interview I did with them back in March 2019 by clicking here. Today however I am reviewing their 2019 release, ‘One Way Street’ which you can read below.
‘One Way Street’ Compared to the previous track, this is harder, a lot more grit and fire to it, but it still has clear, strong vocals and engaging lyrics that already make it a strong entry. It’s definitely a more rocky song compared to the more pop feel of the other track I picked to review, but both have strong vocals and are impressive tracks on their own. This one in particular was just a perfect blend, and it’s one that you could just listen to on repeat. I also like that even years apart and being representative of very distinct styles of music, you can see the raw talent The Soap Girls have in both tracks as well as their ability to create engaging and memorable music.
So that’s what I thought of The SoapGirls single ‘One Way Street’ and if you want to check that out for yourself then head on over to Spotify. While you’re at it, make sure and support the band by following them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram or by visiting their website.
