I Know by Chloe Copland

“Do you love me?” I ask.

“Do you want to be with me?”

“I don’t know.”

“Are you happy?”

I take a step back and look into your aqua eyes, searching for the words you can’t say. You smile sadly at me and my breath catches in my throat. My hand reaches the back of your neck as I pull you closer to me. Our lips gently collide and I feel fireworks flowing through my body. I pull you closer into my arms, you move towards me with ease. I bury my face into your neck. Smells of lavender, guava and grapefruit travels through me. I clench your top tightly, tears start to flow down my cheeks.

“I love you” I whisper.

“I know.”
