K-Fest for those not in the know is an annual outdoor music festival in Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire. It’s now in its third year and it just keeps getting better.
It will be featuring the cream of the crop in terms of local and home grown talent with acts such as headliners: Elephant Sessions and support acts Twin Heart, Lori Smith, Stara Zagora Music, Anchor Lane, Kendama and Anna Sweeney (who we’ve reviewed and Interviewed previously)
You don’t have to wait much longer for K-Fest because the event is scheduled for 4pm till 10pm on Saturday 27th July at The Strand, Kilmarnock. On day there will be plenty of Family Friendly entertainment available in the town centre and there will be street food for sale in case you get hungry.
The official opening of the event will be held the day before at 7:30pm on Friday 26th July at The New Laigh Kirk Church where you can catch a free showcase ‘Anthems from Broadway and Beyond’ staged by the Loudoun Musical Society.
We still have a few weeks until the big event though and so to build the excitement and help support local musicians you can check out the ‘Busk Stop Sessions’ which will be ongoing busking events every Saturday from 11am till 3pm that are free and available to all members of the public.
So if that all sounds good then you can buy yourself a ticket for K-Fest at the super reasonable price of £10 per person via this eventbrite link. Make sure to follow K-Fest on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for updates, sneak peaks and more, and of course enjoy!
