Heartstreets Are an electronic influenced hip-hop & R&B duo from Canada made up of childhood friends Emma Beko and Gab Godon. Today I’ll be reviewing their single ‘Good Thing (feat. A-SHO) from their new album ‘Why Make Sense’.
‘Good Thing (feat. A-SHO)’ is packed with energy from the get go, it has this quirky, electronic vibe to it that was refreshing, especially when coupled with lo-fi percussive sounds that give it a very honest and not overproduced feel. This is one of those songs that I love to get, it’s catchy, memorable and yet it’s not just a one hit wonder pop ballad, it’s not ephemeral, instead the skill and passion went into this track tells me that the Heartstreets is really going somewhere, and I for one am looking forward to seeing where that is.
