Tell me about yourselves? How did you all meet? Where are you all from?
MarcoHi! We are all from Brescia County, Italy. Me (Voice/Bass/Synth) and Alessandro (Voice/Guitar) were at high school together. i used to play in his first band Sweet Bombs, Alessandro was one of band’s biggest fan. After High School, in 2015  we started together with Davide (Drums), a new band, Jester Society. Davide in 2018 left the band and the guy with ¡HEIL mask on his face joined the band behind drums. In the same year also the guy behind DRAMA! mask joined the band with his keyboards.

What are your names and what position do you have in the band?
AllAlessandro: Voice/Guitar, Marco: Voice/Bass/Synth, ¡HEIL: Drums/Pads, DRAMA!: Keyboards/Synth.

What if anything does your band name mean/Why are you called that?
AlessandroOur name “ Jester Society” was chosen because it reflects the irony between our music and our daily context.

Describe your music to someone who has never heard you before?
AlessandroOur music is a free message to everybody who want to feel a wide expression of emotion. In fact we mix many  of our influences in a product that can’t be categorised in a specific genre. We only belong to our emotion.

What song(s) do you remember most from your childhood?
AlessandroHoliday by Green Day and  Beautiful that way by Nicola Piovani , (Marco) In Too Deep by Sum 41 and The kids aren’t alright by The Offspring at middle school, (¡HEIL): When i was a child i listened to Californication from RHCP until i broke the tape! (DRAMA!) When I was a child my favourite singer was Zucchero Fornaciari, an Italian blues singer and my favourite song “X colpa di chi?”

Do you have a process for writing your songs?
AlessandroThe process usually start from a lead tune (which is usually the chorus) other times i start jamming with the bass on a drum machine loop and then we try the song in rehearsals room.

Have you released any music yet, and if so how has it been received?
MarcoWe released a Twenty One Pilots “Nico and The Niners” ‘ cover and a single, Floating in The Blue produced by The orbalist and featuring american MC IsaacB.This single marks the beginning of a new era for the band, as well as we present our new lineup. Immersive synths and roaring guitars, accompanied by a thick bass-line, blend smoothly into an Indie Rock/Synth Pop cocktail with Punk, Hip Hop and Electronica influences. Artists like Twenty One Pilots, FIDLAR, Gorillaz, Linkin Park, Alkaline Trio, Royal Blood, blink-182, Bring Me The Horizon, Arctic Monkeys  and Muse, among many others, inspired us on the search for our new style. At the moment single is doing well especially in the States and UK and now we’ve got almost 10 k views on Youtube and almost 8K plays on Spotify. That could seems not so much but for us, a little band from Italy is a great goal.

Are you planning any music releases for the near future?
HEILWe will release our next single soon, in March and also another one in June. Album will be out in September.

If you have released music, where can fans to be find it?
MarcoOur music is on all music streaming platforms such as Spotify, Amazon Music, Deezer… but if you want to see who HEIL and DRAMA are you’ve got to check out Youtube.

Do you have social media for the band and if so please provide links?
Yep, of course we use a lot social medias, especially

Where have you performed? What are your favourite and least favourite venues? Do you have any gigs in the near future, and if so where and when?
At the moment we have performed in small italians pubs and parties, with this new line up we are planning some italian concerts just to know how our live set could be improved for the  October UK Tour.

How do you balance your music with other obligations?
AlessandroIt’s not really hard. I’m an university student even if my main personal obligation is music.
Marco I’m a fireman and student but I always find some time for music so also for me it’s not really hard. HEIL and DRAMA are by the moment also workers but no one knows where and what they do haha.

Following on from that question, what has been your biggest challenge as a band and have you been able to overcome that challenge? If so then how?
AlessandroOur challenge is to overcome our national borders with our music. For an italian band  it’s never been easy. Despite our tradition we are pretty optimistic about it. In the age of globalization nothing is impossible.

And let’s end with something a little different…Which famous person, living or dead, would you have dinner with and why?
AlessandroAt the moment  i’d like to have a dinner with Quentin Tarantino so as to convince him to make me compose the music for his next movie.
MarcoTyler Joseph. Definitely. Just to let me know what the hell there is behind Trench. And Dua Lipa, just because I’m in love with her.
HEILLeonardo Da Vinci to take the cue from him.
DRAMAIf we are talking about music, I’d like to have a dinner with Daft Punk because they are two geniuses! And yeah obviously Jennifer Aniston. Really I have to explain why?
