Single Review: Moderate Rebels – Faith & Science

Moderate Rebels single 'Faith and Science' Artwork

Moderate Rebels are a music group from London, they try to keep the focus on the music rather than themselves so I won’t stretch out this introduction, all I’ll say is you can check out another review of their music I did right here.

‘Faith & Science’ opens with building drums and a funky little backing synth that reminds me for some reason of classic 8-bit video games. The vocals over the give the track a very distinct edge to it, it’s very dream-like, at least to me. I like it though, it’s not too fast, but doesn’t drag in either, it’s just a very purposeful track that you enjoy even after a dozen or so listens. I especially like towards the end of the track, when what I think are keys being played, the repeating notes blend in with the song and create this wonderful cacophonous vibe that you just kind of get lost in, which circles right back to the kind of dream like feel that this track has for me.

So that’s what I thought of the Moderate Rebels and their new single ‘Faith & Science’ which you can check out on Spotify. Also make sure and support the band by following them on Facebook and Twitter.
