Single Review: Djana Gabrielle – Ode to Time

Djana Gabrielle is originally from Cameroon, was raised in France and is currently making music in Glasgow. She plays some incredible folk tunes if you want to have a read at this review of her EP then you can get a handle on her music and if you want to find out more about the woman herself then check out this interview.

Ode to Time (August) What I liked about this tracks and a lot of tracks in Djana’s year long project is that it has a clear message and one that we all can connect with, music like a lot of things is subjective, something I like, you might not that’s why I share my experiences in these reviews, I’m making a recommendation, not telling you What you should do. But when you have a universal message like the passing of time and how we shouldn’t take it for granted it adds that little extra to a track because people understand and agree with what they are hearing. This track like many from Djana is an experience, beautiful and honest, gentle instrumentals that back up her voice and not a second wasted, very appropriate to the song.

So that’s what I thought of ‘Ode to Time’ by Djana Gabrielle and if you want to hear those tracks for yourself then follow this link to her Bandcamp. And make sure and follow her on Facebook and Twitter to keep up to date with her.
