Single Review: Sway – Another Lover

Sway 'Another Lover' Artwork

Sway are a four piece Alternative rock/Indie Band from Paisley, Renfrewshire and I’ve reviewed them before if you want to check that out then you can go here or here and if you want to find out some more about the band then you can check out this interview I did with them a while back. Anyway today I’m going to be reviewing their latest release ‘Another Lover’.

‘Another Lover’ opens with a sweet bassline that’s low and merges perfectly with the guitar that joins it soon after. I enjoy music that you might call atmospheric, where in my opinion the track just fills a room, and this song qualifies, its not loud, it’s not heavy but it’s powerful and it grips you very quickly. I’ve reviewed the band before of course, and you can check out those reviews above but I feel they’ve reached a new level with this track, they were always good but clearly in the interim between this and their previous release they’ve grown as a group and it really shows in this track. Usually I’d make some joke, like coming back to Sway after a while has been like coming back to an old lover but that joke is weak and doesn’t really work and besides and I’d much rather just say that if you do anything today then check out this track.

So that’s what I thought of ‘Another Lover’ by Sway and if you want to check that out for yourself then pop over to Spotify. And while you’re at it make sure and follow the band on Facebook and Twitter to keep up to date with what they are doing.
