Single Review: Saint-Louie – Silver Spoon / Devil Inside

Saint-Louie 'Silver Spoon-Devil Inside' Artwork

Saint-Louie are a four piece Rock ‘n’ Roll/Indie band based in and around Dundee and they are made up of Owen Bryce on Guitar/Vocals, Ryan Thain on Guitar, Ian Ross on Bass and Ross McLaren on Drums.

‘Silver Spoon’ opens with a great guitar riff, that soon gets built on by some fast paced drumming, and some distinctive vocals, and before you notice you are flying away with the track. I’m not sure if I’m just a bad judge but this has a country feel to it, at least to my ears. I really like it and I certainly recommend you listen to this track.

‘Devil Inside’ is from the first second a very different track to the previous one, slower to starts off with, more drawn out and focused lyrics and just an easier rhythm, it’s less busy than the previous track, and listening to them together they balance each other out really well.

So that’s what I thought of these two singles from Dundee based band Saint-Louie and if you want to check them out for yourself then pop on over to Spotify. And while you’re at it why not support the band and keep an eye on what they are up to by following them on Twitter.
